Healthcare discounts in Hyderabad

Association of Senior Citizens (Lions Bhavan, near Paradise Secunderabad) pioneered the cause of fighting healthcare costs with a view to mitigating the hardship of senior citizens. The Association has conducted many seminars on healthcare for elders. It is actively supporting setting up of many generic medicines shops in Hyderabad in collaboration with APSCCON. The association has also been fighting for low cost affordable health insurance schemes for the aged.  

One of many such initiatives was to compile a directory of Chemists, Diagnostic centers, doctors - (Allopathy, Ayurveda, Homeopathy, Dentists, ophthalmologists, specialists) and hospitals which have agreed to give discounts on their services, consultations, facilities etc. A couple of years ago the association brought out such a compilation in printed booklet format. It had soon gone out of print due to heavy demand. However a soft copy (Excel file format) is available with me for anyone interested. The data is slightly old but nevertheless useful  We request volunteers to carry out updating this booklet.
